Update to: Expect some pics here by Sunday

Jeonju was awesome. T-Bone won the six-pack as Ron showed up on time for a change. We caught a cubic buttload as predicted... you can read all about it and see the pics here.

I'm finally going down to fish Jeonju. Bill, Ruben and TK are going too. Ron says he is, but I'll believe it when I see him. I bet T-Bone a six-pack of beer that Ron won't show up at 4AM. Free beer is good beer.

I expect for us to catch a cubic buttload and you can check the pics here on Sunday or maybe even Saturday night. I made a wood floor for the boat. It came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I even had time to throw two coats of enamel on it before heading off for work in Taegu. The color is perfect... baby-shit brown with a tinge of orange. Same color as the Korean mud I'm always stepping in when I go fishing.

Time to go pack the truck for the morning... 4AM... yikes!

Anyway's we are looking for somewhere or someone who might know somewhere to go and catch Bass here in Korea.. I know that would be an awesome stress reliever for hubby and a I.. He has been here for nearly 29 months and is going crazy to fish.. We watched a show last night on TV and we couldn't believe that there were actually somewhere to bass fish around here.. We are living in Seoul. So I was wondering if you can help us with any information you may have.. Oh and you talked about loading your truck for the trip.. We brought ours over here too.. 2004 Dodge Quad-Cab.. So needless to say we have lots of room.. Hope you can help..

The bass fishing is awesome in Korea. Trout fishing too. I suggest you go to the book section at the Yongsan PX and buy one of those blue-colored Korean roadmap soft-cover books, which show you where and how to get to all the major lakes in english. If you guys like campping and fishing, Andong lake is a great place to start. Look on the map and navigate your way down Highway 55 to 34, heading into Andong city. From there you take route 5 north and follow it until you hit 949? Take a right. I'm not sure of the number at this moment... check the map. The same road where the bridge crosses the lake in the middle. You'll come to a rest stop with a small market on the right before you cross the bridge. Turn in there. There's a road in the back of the parking lot that leads to the water and ramps. You can, camp and fish there for no charge. You can boat there on the weekends. This is Korea's premier bass lake. The official Korean Bass record (9lbs.. see pic on this blog) came out of there about two months ago. I know someone who caught a bigger one than that, but it wasn't official.

Good luck!

I know this is a long shot, but we live in Seoul and are looking to buy some red worms for composting. Any ideas where to go for this? Can they be ordered online?
